Terms of Use
Effective 3 August 2026
These terms apply when you use the Learn First Australia website or our course-matching service. By submitting an enquiry or using this site, you agree to them. This website and service are operated by Learn First Australia Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our").
What we are (and what we are not)
- Learn First Australia is a course-matching and referral service. We connect prospective students with accredited Australian registered training organisations (RTOs).
- We are not a registered training organisation and we do not deliver, assess or accredit any training. All training is delivered by the relevant RTO under its own terms, enrolment conditions and policies.
- Any training contract is between you and the RTO. We are not a party to it.
Our role with training providers
Where we promote or refer you to a specific course, we do so on behalf of the named RTO, which is the provider offering and responsible for that course. Every course we present shows the RTO's name and the national course code and title. We do not offer or advertise any VET course in our own name, and nothing on this site should be read as Learn First Australia being the provider of any training.
No inducements
We do not offer gifts, cash, vouchers, devices, discounts, deadline bonuses or referral rewards to encourage enrolment in any course, including government-subsidised training. If anyone claiming to represent us offers you an incentive to enrol, please report it to us immediately.
Our service is free for students
You do not pay us to use the matching service. We may receive a commission or fee from training providers when a student we refer enrols. This does not change the price you pay the RTO.
Funding and eligibility
Government-subsidised training places are administered by state, territory and federal programs and are always subject to eligibility criteria and current program availability. Information on this site about funding is general in nature. We do not guarantee that you will qualify for any subsidy, be accepted into any course, or achieve any particular employment, licensing or income outcome. Subsidised does not mean free: even where a government subsidy applies, a student co-contribution fee may be payable to the RTO. The RTO will confirm all fees before you enrol.
No visa or migration advice
We do not provide immigration assistance of any kind. We cannot advise on visas, visa eligibility or visa applications - only a registered migration agent can. If your enquiry involves studying in Australia on a visa, speak to a registered migration agent (mara.gov.au) before making decisions.
Accuracy of information
We take care to keep course, provider and funding information current, but details (including availability, delivery mode, qualification codes and funding programs) can change without notice and are controlled by the RTO or government. Always confirm details with the RTO before enrolling. Statistics quoted on this site are drawn from named public sources and are general - individual results vary.
Your responsibilities
- Provide information that is true, accurate and about yourself (or someone who has authorised you).
- Use the site lawfully and do not interfere with its operation, scrape it, or misuse any contact channel.
- If you are under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is aware of your enquiry before proceeding.
Intellectual property
The Learn First Australia name, logo, website design and content are owned by us or our licensors. Course names, qualification codes and RTO names belong to their respective owners. You may not reproduce our content for commercial purposes without written permission.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or our referral service, including decisions made by an RTO or a funding body.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share your personal information, including sharing your details with your matched RTO.
Complaints
Complaints about our matching service: contact us at [email protected] and we will respond promptly. Complaints about training, enrolment or fees: raise them with the RTO first under its complaints process; unresolved training complaints can go to the national VET regulator, ASQA (asqa.gov.au). Consumer law concerns can be raised with your state or territory fair trading body or the ACCC.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the current version will always be published on this page with its effective date. Questions: [email protected].
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applying in Australia in the state or territory in which you reside, and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
